Black Friday SEO: Drive Tons of Traffic to Your Website This 2024 Holiday Season

If there’s one thing we can all most certainly agree upon, it’s that 2024 has been tough on business owners all across the globe.

So what does this mean for the retail industry during the upcoming Holiday Shopping Season?

Unfortunately, this means that businesses everywhere will be scratching and clawing for any and every sale possible.  It’s going to be an all-out war to wring-out every available penny from a consumer-spending cloth that is only lightly dampened due to the effects of the pandemic.

Even more unfortunate for small business owners, Big Business will be pouring loads of cash into ad-spend.

However, this doesn’t mean the end of the world for Small-Business America.  It simply means you need to think outside the box this Holiday Season when it comes to your Black Friday SEO.

Black Friday SEO Tips in 2024

The great news about creating a Black Friday SEO strategy for your business is that hardly anyone (even major retailers) has any type of strategy with which you will be competing.  Literally, you’re almost on your own in this game.  It goes right along with a quote I like to use when saying,

“In order to truly dominate in the retail industry today, you must learn to play on a field where your competitors don’t even know they are playing.”

Therefore, with this knowledge, wouldn’t you like to mega-capitalize during the upcoming holiday shopping season?  Great!  Because I’m about to show you how…

Black Friday Keywords

“The emails you’ve been sending out for us is like adding gold..”

Dwight S., Blue Ribbon Autogroup

“Josh, your book was exactly what I was needing..”

Adriana, D and A Custom, New Mexico

:Thanks Joshua this makes so much sense. I will specify my store and my YouTube channel to target my Christian buyers..”

Niq

“Excellent SEO book. Josh, this is exactly what I’ve been missing..”

James E., Trinity Recovery - Florida
The Best Black Friday Keywords for Your Business

“It’s going to be an all-out war to wring-out every available penny from a consumer-spending cloth that is only lightly dampened due to the effects of the pandemic.”

Below, you will find a list of some of the most popular Black Friday Keywords in the Google Keyword Tool.

Keyword Avg. Monthly Searches
walmart black friday 673000
black friday 2019 550000
black friday 450000
best buy black friday 450000
walmart black friday 2019 450000

Now, obviously you don’t want to try and rank your website pages for keywords kike “walmart black friday” and/or “best buy black friday.”  However, you might be inclined to try and rank for a phrase like “black friday 2024,” because there are 450,000 searches for that phrase.  But there are 2 specific reasons you really don’t want to do this:

  1. This is more like a Head-Term Keyword Phrase (very generic)
  2. The phrase lacks specificity

To learn more about the different types of keywords, take a quick look at this module on taking an in-depth look into keywords.

Nevertheless, what you want to implement on your website are more of Long-Tail Keywords that are product specific.  For example, take a quick glance at the keyword searches in the table below.

Keywords Avg. Monthly Searches
black friday furniture sale 3600
ashleys furniture black friday 3600
black friday furniture deals 2900
ashley furniture black friday sale 720
black friday furniture deals 2018 390

Now, it’s important to point out that this table of keywords, just like the 1st table, has been extracted from the total number of searches in the entire U.S.  However, you can actually extract this same type of data targeting your specific location or region.

Nevertheless, in the 2nd table, you’ll find that these searches are manufacturer and product-type specific searches.  And regardless of what products you sell, these are the types of keywords with which you want to rank high on google.

And to prove my point about no competition, in just a moment I’m going to ask you to do a Google Search.  But before I do, let me show you a screenshot of my own proof… one of my client’s websites in search when it pertains to Black Friday.

Expert Black Friday SEO Services

Now, the top red arrow points to my client’s website URL (ranked #1 in the search).  Notice that directly below the top link (at the #2 spot) isn’t even another dealership website.  Rather, it’s a URL from Auto Liquidator.

So you might ask, “are there no other dealerships in close proximity to your client?”  Of course there are… it’s in Tulsa, OK.  BUT…….. like I’ve already stated, there is rarely any competition when it comes to “Black Friday” online searches (in any niche).

What Does This Proof-Screenshot Mean, Exactly?

It means – this is the only information Google has to offer it’s searchers for this specific Black Friday search.  And to prove my point about that statement, look at the two videos on the screenshot.  They are both from my client.  And they are dated a year apart!  WE OWN the search! We’re all Google has to offer up…

Now, I want you to prove my “Black Friday Theory” to yourself.

Own Your Local Black Friday Search Results

Right now, I want you to think about just one of the products you sell, then perform a Black Friday Google Search for that product.  For example, if you sell engagement rings.  Google Search “Black Friday Engagement Ring.”

More than likely, what you’ll find is exactly what I find… top brands like Macy’s, Zales, etc.

But now, do the same search and add your location.  Therefore, in my case I’ll search “Black Friday Engagement Ring Northwest Arkansas.”

Now, look at the results that Google offers up.  There is absolutely nothing about Black Friday

You may ask, “But, Josh, how many people actually search ‘black friday engagement ring northwest arkansas?”

Well… the truth is that someone in the Northwest Arkansas area doesn’t have to add the ‘northwest arkansas’ tag to the search.  Google knows where you’re located, and more often than not will offer up those business owners closest to you who are selling whatever it is you’re looking for….. IF…. the business has the information on his/her website!

So do the keyword research.  Build-out the Black Friday pages on your website.  And have the best Black Friday you’ve never even dreamed of as a business owner.

What is Christian SEO?2024-11-05T01:44:21-06:00

Christian SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for Christian businesses, organizations and Church websites.

Search Engine Optimization, as defined by Oxford Language, is the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.

However, if I had to provide my own definition of SEO, I’d say:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of Optimizing a website to ensure it ranks high on the list of results returned by a search engine, by properly using SEO-Best-Practice techniques.

In layman’s terms, SEO is: “Trying to get your website to the top of Google” in order to drive more visitors to your website.

For example, if you were a Christian retail store who sold John 3:16 T-Shirts, you should want to rank at the top of Google every single time anyone in the world searched “john 3 16 t-shirts.”  This would likely help you to sell many more t-shirts.

There are, however, many different optimization techniques that can be used in properly performing Search Engine Optimization.

Where Can I Add SEO to My Website?2024-11-05T01:40:12-06:00

Great Question!  But also somewhat difficult to answer within such a brief framework.

Nevertheless, you can optimize your website both on the frontend and backend. And it’s completely okay if you’re unfamiliar with that phraseology.

To be more specific, search engine optimization can include (but is not limited to) optimizing areas on your website such as:

  • Page Titles (this includes pages, posts and products)
  • Body Content
  • Categories and Tags
  • Navigational Menus
  • SEO Meta Titles
  • SEO Meta Descriptions
  • Images
  • Focus Keyphrase
  • URL’s

And as I’ve stated, there are many other ways – some even more technical.

However, I can assure you that one of the best ways to optimize your website is by providing excellent content.

How Much Do SEO Services Cost?2024-11-05T01:36:28-06:00

Awesome question!  And thanks so much for asking…

This is truly a question I love answering, and am very passionate in the account that I give.  For those seeking a pragmatic answer, I’d say, there are different types of SEO “packages.”  Not only so, but one also has to factor in the size and type of the website.

Nevertheless, a few examples might consist of:

Silver SEO Package: $199 (starting price)

The Silver Package consists of performing SEO services on the backend of the website, such as “SEO Titles” and “SEO Meta Descriptions.”  Once again, please keep in mind this would depend on the number of Pages, Posts and Products you have on your website.

Bronze SEO Package: $499 (starting price)

The Bronze Package consists of everything in the Silver Package, but additionally includes “On-Page Titles” and “Tagging and/or Implementing Tagged Images.”

Gold SEO Package: $999 (starting price)

The Gold Package consists of both the Silver and Bronze Packages, but also includes “On-Page Content Optimization”

Platinum SEO Package: $1,499 (starting price)

The Platinum Package consists of the Silver, Bronze and Gold elements, and includes “The Works,” which is absolutely too much to list.

You no longer have to keep struggling along.  You no longer have to continue wasting your valuable time trying to:

  • Figure out certain web design aspects
  • Understand where to optimize your website with SEO
  • Determine the best email marketing techniques. What’s the secret to a great Subject Line? How do I design a good email?  I’ve personally sent over 12.2 million emails for my clients since 2017.
  • Learn the secrets to a successful YouTube channel
  • Discover the best way to design a good landing page for lead generation
  • Decide which is the best Social Media platform to run ads

On and on I could go.  All I’m saying is that I intentionally did all the work for you.  I put in the time to learn it so you don’t have to; so that Christian business owners, organizations, and Churches could lean on me for the tough questions when it comes to “Everything Online.”
